By becoming a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to acquire valuable training in firefighting, hazardous materials handling, and medical response through the Fire Academy and the volunteer probationary period. Volunteers with an EMS certification can also benefit from regular, complimentary continuing education sessions and refresher courses.
Volunteers residing outside the district will be assigned to a specific shift (A, B, or C) and are expected to commit to a minimum of 36 hours per month. On the other hand, in-district volunteers are encouraged to respond to at least 10 percent of all calls throughout the year.
All members, whether paid or volunteer, are obligated to meet the minimum continuing education and training requirements. Explore the various advantages of volunteering and consider submitting an application for our upcoming academy!
